PITTSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY- A U. S. Army soldier from Pittston was killed Tuesday morning in Afghanistan. We're told Jeffrey DePrimo, 35, was fatally wounded when his vehicle struck a roadside bomb.

DePrimo is a Seton Catholic High School graduate. Family members said he was single and worked at Barber Ford in Exeter. He had been serving with a local National Guard unit.

Family members said they were notified late Tuesday afternoon.
