Luzerne Co. Newspaper Legend Passes Away - Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 2:13PM EST

HAZLETON, LUZERNE CUNTY- The media is mourning the loss of an old friend. Ray Saul, former Managing Editor of the Standard Speaker newspaper, has died.
Saul started with the Hazleton area newspaper back in 1950. He worked as sports editor and managing editor of the paper.

He helped us here at Eyewitness News by providing insight into local elections.

Saul retired in 1997 but still wrote special columns. Ray Saul was 82-years-old.
