LIz and Steve Maher took four months with the help of Apple, to create an I-Phone application. "We really need to find ways, evidence ways, things to do with our children. So anything we put in place, we need to know if its working," says LIz. She and her husband wanted a way to chart the changes in behavior of their 13 year old daughter. The app helps teachers, therapists and parents determine the differences in behavior and why.
It's called "Behavior Tracker Pro" and can be downloaded from I-Tunes for a one-time $29.99 fee. The couple is working on more apps and expanding their business. They've teamed up with the Business Incubator in downtown Wilkes-Barre, which helps small businesses grow. The couple from Mountaintop now has an office in the Incubator as they continue to link technology with helping autism.
