WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY -- In another unusual development Wednesday at the Luzerne County Courthouse, Luzerne County Judge Michael Toole unexpectedly requested vacation time and put off his cases until December and January.

Toole was on the bench during the morning then sent a memo to President Judge Chester Muroski saying he would take accrued vacation time and would push his court cases to December and January.

Judge Toole has not been accused of any wrongdoing, but the I-Team confirmed months ago that one of his staff members did testify before a federal grand jury sitting in Scranton.

The I-Team has tried numerous times to talk with Judge Toole. He was either unavailable or did not return phone calls.
