WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- We're learning more about layoffs in Luzerne County . One high ranking official has lost his job. Sam Guesto the county director of special courts and alternative sentencing was laid off. He's one of 27 county employees to get pink slips. Guesto has the highest salary among those jobs cut at 78 thousand dollars a year. Guesto was appointed by suspended Luzerne County Judge Mark Ciavarella. The county says the layoffs will save about 2.1 million dollars.
