WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- Police in Luzerne County say they have the man, who stole dozens of purses over the last several months.

28-year old Michael Keefe of Courtdale, was arraigned tonight in Wilkes-Barre on dozens of charges. Investigators say Keefe admitted to stealing purses from cars and trucks in the Mountaintop and White Haven areas.

Keefe would smash the window of the vehicle and take the purse.

Keefe said he had money trouble and was looking for easy cash, he would watch for potential victims, when they would go into a store or business, he would make his move.
