The state house this afternoon announced unanimous support to create a commission to investigate the Luzerne County juvenile justice system. It's known as Pennsylvania house bill 16-48.
A commission would be established to conduct a non-criminal investigation into the scandal created by ex-Luzerne county judges Michael Conahan and Mark Ciavarella.
Public hearings and review proceedings would be held to make recommendations to improve the state-wide juvenile justice system. The bill must now moves to the senate. | |
