BLOOMSBURG, COLUMBIA COUNTY-

An area high school student has been diagnosed with the same strain of staph infection that killed a Virginia teen, earlier this week.

A senior at the Columbia-Montour County Vo-Tech has returned to school after being treated for the MRSA infection.

According to the Press Enterprise, the student complained of feeling tired and sick.

Test results from a wound on the student's arm revealed the MRSA infection.

Administrators say it is the only confirmed case.

At Southern Columbia Area High School, officials say a ninth grade student was diagnosed with a staph infection on Thursday, but would not comment on whether it was MRSA.
