DUNMORE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- It’s a watery mess in Dunmore this morning as crews are working to fix a water main break at the intersection of Mill & Elm Streets in Dunmore.
The break was discovered just after 1:00 A.M. when water was pouring down the street like a river. It is unknown just how many Pennsylvania American Water Company customers are affected, but some basements had flooding from all the water.
PPL had to shut off power to several homes and the gas has been shut off to about 6 homes. Wheeler Avenue is down to 1-lane between Blakely Street to Mill Street as crews work to fix the problem.
