Fire crews from Scranton and Dunmore are battling a major fire in the Hill section of Scranton. It's happening in the 900 block of Monroe Avenue.

Firefighters called for an evacuation of that block. Emergency communications indicated 3 structures were initially involved but we've learned the fire spread to at least two additional homes.

We have a crew on the scene and will have more as it becomes available.
