Three Luzerne County clothing stores and a bar were targeted Wednesday morning by the Drug Enforcement Agency.
Fifteen people were arrested.
They're all charged with selling crack, cocaine and marijuana.
Guns were also taken in these raids.
Investigators scoured through Addiction clothing store in Edwardsville’s Gateway Shopping Center .
It's one of at least four businesses raided by the DEA and local police.
An employee at neighboring Schwartz Optometry is surprised, saying, "We're here every day we haven't seen a thing, just a normal store."
Another store in the Gateway Shopping Center fresh clothing store was also targeted Wednesday.
Duane Kersteen owns Sprinkles Ice Cream a few doors down.
"We haven't seen any of that activity here. It's all been the retail, but like I said a lot of people have said to us that they would suspect that," said Kersteen.
On Carey Avenue in Wilkes-Barre , Jade’s Fashion was
searched.
Michael Smith owns a bail bonds shop across the street.
"There's been minimal traffic as far as anyone going in and out. Unfortunately something like this in a neighborhood is a shock," said Smith.
The Poplar Inn on Poplar Street in Wilkes-Barre was also the focus of federal investigators.
The bar was searched but still open Wednesday afternoon.
Individuals arrested include: Shawn Maiers, Mike Beseda, Jeffrey Shovlin, Colby Gronski, Craig Simmons, Steve Mckenzie, Ishmael Garrett, Jamarr Reid, Mark Aguilar, Peter Fuller, John Gray, Gordon Mason, David Trombly, Scott Hughes and Charlotte Spak. | |
