HARVEY'S LAKE, LUZERNE COUNTY- A Luzerne County man was arrested Tuesday night. He's accused of leading police on a high speed chase that reached speeds of more than 100 miles-per-hour during rush hour.

Police say 24-year-old Timothy David Shaw of Nanticoke stole items from a home at Harvey's Lake. When police went to that home to investigate, Shaw took off in a Chevy Blazer.

That chase started at Harvey's Lake, headed South on the Cross Valley Expressway, onto Interstate 81 northbound and ended when he crashed the Blazer near Route 315 in Jenkins Township.

Shaw was nabbed after a short foot chase. Shaw was also wanted for walking away from work release. He's locked up unable to post $18,000 bail.
