STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY- Gunfire caused commotion in part of Monroe County Tuesday morning. Police responded to shots fired at a Stroudsburg motel and took a man into custody.

It appears no one was injured in this incident. At roughly 9:00 A. M. 5 shots were heard from a second floor room at the Budget Host Inn off the Park Avenue exit of Interstate 80.

A SWAT team and police moved in and neighbors say they took one man into custody. They say he was the only man in that room.

Police are not commenting on this investigation, but there were several neighbors who saw the standoff, including Scott Price. "I walked out front and an officer just yelled at me 'get back in your house', so I sat back here on my front porch and saw the whole thing. There's something really bad when the SWAT team shows up and nearly every state cop in the county."

The shooting took place right next to the Pocono Record newspaper. We are told some workers showing up hit the ground in the parking lot when they heard the shots.
