SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- A man was stabbed while walking in Scranton Wednesday night. The attack happened on the 600 block of Jefferson Avenue around 11:30 P. M. The victim was stabbed in the back and in the hand.

Police have 20-year-old Courtney Jeter of Scranton in custody. They say he’ll be charged with several crimes, including aggravated assault.

Police said this attack is very similar to another stabbing in Scranton in late August. Frank Locks died in that incident. However police won’t say if Jeter is a suspect in that case.
