LUZERNE COUNTY- State Police say they have the man responsible for a stabbing Saturday morning outside a Luzerne County bar.
Andrew Langford of Berwick was taken into custody Sunday night. He’s charged with stabbing one man outside the Silver Bullet Bar on Route 93 in Nescopeck.
He claims it was self-defense. “When you’re getting attacked, you do whatever you need to protect yourself,” he said in Eyewitness News exclusive.
The 24-year-old was arraigned in West Pittston. State Police say Langford stabbed Eric Brittain of Berwick several times in the parking lot of the bar around 1:30 A. M.
Troopers say Brittain suffered life threatening injuries because he was stabbed in the femoral artery, forearm and calf. Langford is locked-up on $20,000 bail in Luzerne County.
A second man, Shawn Kishbaugh, was also stabbed. But police say he was attacked by an unidentified woman who is not in custody.
