MONTANDON, NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY- State police say a man severely beat his 11-month old baby and dropped him on his head.

Police tell Eyewitness News 32-year-old Christopher Hoake of Montandon was home without his wife when he beat his baby because he was annoyed the infant was crying.

Hoake told police he shook the baby so hard he fell, and his head hit the floor. The baby became dazed and lifeless.

When the baby's mother arrived home she rushed the child to the hospital. Milton police say doctors found more than 60-bruises on the baby's body, he suffered from shaken baby syndrome, internal bleeding, and hemorrhages.
