SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY – Police arrested a man in connection with a Tuesday night attack on a couple in downtown. Joseph Collynre Saunders, 23 is in Lackawanna County Prison after he allegedly slashed and punched a 44 year old
Scranton man and punched a 52 year old city woman at about 11 p. m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Olive street .
The male victim, Dewey Belles suffered two small lacerations on his hands and a small laceration on the left side of his throat. He was treated at
Community
Medical
Center and later released. The second victim, Natalie Melando was also taken to CMC for evaluation and later released.
Saunders is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct and harassment. | | |
