GREAT BEND TOWNSHIP, SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY - For the second time in less than a month, a Susquehanna County man is facing sex charges.

Duane Anderson, 33, of Grend Bend Township was arrested Friday morning for allegedly having sexual contact with an eight-year-old girl in June 2009.

People who live along Main Street in Great Bend Township, where the crime occurred, are in shock. Others are downright angry. That's because Anderson had already been arrested for trying to solicit sex online from a 13-year-old girl. That girl was actually a police officer.

"It is shocking. Absolutely shocking, shocking to think that it happens here in this quiet town," Awald Haeusser of Great Bend Township said.

Anderson used to live in a second floor apartment at a building on Main Street.

"I have four daughers. This is a nice, quiet town. You don't get that stuff like that up here. God help him if anybody did anything to harm my children," John Price of Hallstead said.

"It's disgusting. I think disgusting. Bad things should happen to him," Justin Lindsey of Great Bend Township said.

Neighbors say young kids are out playing and waiting for buses in the neighborhood all the time. They just pray this is the last time Anderson gets arrested for sex crimes.

"He belongs to jail, not in society. We're a human society, not animals," Tariq Awan of Great Bend Township said.

Anderson remains locked up tonight on $125,000 bail in Susquehanna County.
