SCRANTON , LACKAWANNA COUNTY- 24-year-old Matthew Kochis is locked-up right now in Lackawanna County . He's facing a slew of charges after cops say he sexually assaulted an 11-year-old boy inside his 2nd floor apartment on east Elm Street . James Joyce lives right next door to Kochis. He says the suspect always kept to himself. “Once in a while, I’d see him, in and out. I never said nothing to the guy, you know."
At the time of his arrest police say Kochis was out on parole for a 2006 arson. According to court papers Kochis admitted to the abuse and apologized for it. He's locked up on 50 thousand dollars bail.
