TOBYHANNA, MONROE COUNTY- A Monroe County man will head to trial for murder.

Police said Phillip Vonville, 29, Long Pond, killed Christopher Hernandez in a jealous rage.

It happened in Tunkhannock Township in September.

Police said Vonville showed up at his ex-fiancee's home.

That's where they say he stabbed Hernandez and then stabbed himself in the stomach.

A judge decided there is enough evidence to send Vonville's case to trial.

A trial date has not yet been set.
