BUTLER TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY -- State police say a motorcycle crash in Luzerne County has turned deadly. It happened Saturday afternoon around 2:00 in Butler Township.

Troopers say 42-year-old Lawrence Whiteman, III of St. Mary's, Clearfield County lost control on the I-80 west on-ramp from I-81.

The 3-wheeled motorcycle struck a post and guide rail. The driver was thrown from the cycle and killed.
