WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- A Luzerne County man admited he beat his girlfriend to death.

Henry Platt from Exeter pleaded guilty to third degree murder Friday. PLatt said he used a baseball bat to kill 31-year-old Kimberly Burgess. Burgess lived with Platt at an apartment in Exeter. Police say Burgess was trying to break off the relationship.

Platt faces 20 to 40 years in prison when he's sentenced.
