BLAKESLEE, MONROE COUNTY- Police in the Poconos are looking for a brazen bank robber whose weapon was lighter fluid.
The hold-up happened just before 11:00 A. M. at the Citizens Bank which is inside Ahart's Market in Blakeslee. Investigators say a white man who's about 5’5” and in his mid-50s approached a teller and demanded cash.
Cops say the bandit squirted lighter fluid on the worker before getting away with cash. Pocono Mountain Regional Police Detective Rich Luthcke said, “I've never saw anything like this before. The threat was implied. He didn't have a lighter in his hand, but his other hand was in his pocket."
