Man Sentenced for Series of Arsons
Man Sentenced for Series of Arsons - Monday, February 9, 2009 at 6:25PM EST
DANVILLE, MONTOUR COUNTY- A man who confessed to setting a series of fires including one that seriously injured a firefighter was sentenced in Montour County Court Monday.
A judge sentenced Chester Cyphers to 12 to 25 years in prison. Cyphers pled guilty last May to starting more than two dozen fires since 2004, including a barn fire which left firefighter Wayne Hawley, Jr. injured.
Hawley is still in a wheelchair because of those injuries and was in court for the sentence. | | |
