WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- Police continue to investigate an overnight shooting in Wilkes-Barre. Someone shot the victim in the chest. He is in the hospital recovering. The shooting happened at the Boulevard Town Homes.

It was in front of 160 Midland Court where police found 44-year-old Wymann Allen of Wilkes-Barre in a pool of blood. Investigators say he was shot in the chest just before 3:00 Saturday morning.

Neighbor Danielle Glover said, "It was about 50 feet down. When I got here there was tape up and police looking for whatever, god knows what with the flash lights."

Glover lives here with her daughter. “I have one, Jasmine and two nieces that live here. I’m nervous because they play outside all day."

She and her neighbors say they're concerned and want more information. William Wren has spent nearly two decades at the complex. "Yes it does because there's a lot of children living in here and there's a lot of drug in the playground there," he said.

Glover says also says cops came by looking for someone specific. “They even knocked on my door asking if I knew somebody. I'm not going to say who it was because I don't know what's going on and I said 'yes I see him around all the time’," Glover told Eyewitness News.

Wren is surprised by the shooting. He says there are drug problems here, but that's about it. "They are in there at night, smoking their dope this and that and you know at the office here they try to clean everything up and we have a pretty good manager," he said.

Police gathered evidence at the scene but for now say there's no suspect or motive. Police say Wymann Allen was taken to Geisinger where he remains hospitalized.

Several messages left with the office manager at Boulevard Town Homes were not returned.

Also in Wilkes-Barre a 19-year-old was found stabbed in front of a home at 499 South River Street. We’re told he’ll be okay but there’s no word on a suspect or motive in this stabbing.
