var images = new Array(); ROSS TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY - Police say Frederick Weisser slashed Patricia Bohner's throat Saturday. Police say the two had a landlord/tenant relationship but didn't specify who held which role.

Officers say the attack happened in Bohner and Weisser's home in Ross Township, Monroe County.

Don Pearson knows Bohner. He said, "I think she just doesn't deserve what happened to her." He also said she is a nice woman who many people call "The Bird Lady." Neighbor Gunther Roy explained, "She always walked around with a bird on her shoulder."

Police say when they arrived at the home they found Bohner covered in blood with several cuts on her neck. They found marijuana and some other type of narcotic in Weisser's bedroom but they didn't say whether or not drugs had anything to do with the attack.

Officers expect Bohner will survive. Pearson said, "I wish her all the luck in the world that she pulls through this thing."
