Man Turns Himself in for Deadly Shooting - Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 11:15AM EST
WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- A Wilkes-Barre man has turned himself into police in connection with a deadly shooting in the city.
Benji Benjamin turned himself into Wilkes-Barre police this morning. He was arraigned on a homicide charge.
Tuesday night Luzerne County D. A. Jackie Musto-Carroll said they were looking for 22-year-old Benji Benjamin from the 400 block of East South Street in Wilkes-Barre and Don Farrell from 45 North Sherman Street, also of Wilkes-Barre.
Investigators say Benjamin pulled a 25-calibre handgun and repeatedly shot Joseph Benson outside Liam's Place on North Washington Street early Tuesday morning. The coroner says Benson died from multiple gunshots to the torso.
Farrell is accused of drawing a .380 pistol and shooting Chris Krisanda inside the bar. Officials said Krisanda should survive. Police are still looking for Farrell. | |
