HAZLETON, LUZERNE COUNTY-

Nearly 1,000 people came looking for work today at a job fair near Hazleton..

It was wall to wall people at Genetti's Best Western Inn.

They packed the place to fill out applications and hopefully get an interview.

39 companies offered up positions.

Many of the people who came looking for a job say they're desperate.

Some are on the verge of financial ruin.

Organizers of the job fair say for every one job available today there were forty applicants.
