Married Couple Found Dead in Luzerne County

Married Couple Found Dead in Luzerne County - Sunday, January 18, 2009 at 10:07PM EST

PENN LAKE PARK, LUZERNE COUNTY - The Luzerne County coroner's office has released the names of the two people who were found dead early Saturday afternoon in a Penn Lake Park home.

The bodies of Mark and Dawn Oleksa were found by Mark's father, who was visiting from New Jersey. The exact cause and manner of both deaths still remains a mystery.

"It is gonna be tough. Really hard," Irma Reimold said.

Reimold is the great aunt of Mark Oleksa. She fondly looked over a wedding picture of the couple from happier times. They had a two and a-half year old son Cayden.

"His wife had a lot of health problems, so he really took good care of that baby. He devoted a lot of time to the child and of course to his wife, because she was sickly at times," Reimold said.

Investigators say there was no sign of foul play inside the home. Toxicology tests were done on both bodies Sunday. The results have not been released, leaving Reimold and her husband in limbo.

"They don't know what it is. He hasn't heard anything yet, so, you're guess is as good as mine as to what transpired," Reimold said.

Cayden was found inside the home. He was not hurt. He is currently in the custody of Children & Youth Services for the time being.

"His grandmother, his one grandmother, is going to take him. She's interested in taking him and raising him," Reimold said.
