PLAINS TOWNSHIP, LUZERNE COUNTY- A WBRE I-Team exclusive. We have learned that a nurse from an outside agency who worked at Geisinger Wyoming Valley will be arrested on Thursday for allegedly stealing medicine.

Sources close to the case confirm that an arrest warrant has been issued for the male registered nurse. We are told the investigation has been ongoing for several weeks. The nurse was allegedly stealing medications from medical carts. We are not releasing the name of that nurse until he is arraigned Thursday.

Geisinger officials tell us the nurse was employed by an agency contracted to provide nurses, but the nurse was not a Geisinger employee. Geinger also said it contacted police after irregularities were found.
