SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- Employees at Scranton's Mercy Hospital are completing a month long drive to send supplies to our troops fighting overseas.

The idea was first suggested by staff nurse Dorothy Barnhart, whose son was serving in Afghanistan. Every department in the hospital joined in the drive collecting books, board games, playing cards, snacks and other items to be shipped to the troops.

Workers say they intend to make this an annual effort.
