Old Lycoming Township, Lycoming County-

A Meshoppen man was in court today facing vehicular homicide, hit-and-run, and D. U.I. charges. Those charges stem from a crash in northern Lycoming County in June.

Police say Isaac Millard was drunk when he wrecked his car, killing his father, Leslie Millard of Meshoppen, and family friend Ryan Downs of Wilkes-Barre.

Millard showed remorse both in and out of the courtroom this afternoon. "I'm sorry. I love my kids. Just have to have faith in God," Millard said as he was led out of the court room.

According to police, Isaac Millard had a .11 blood alcohol content when he drove his Chevy Blazer off a 30-foot embankment. It happened near Route 15 north in Cogan House Township on the night of June 24th.

According to first responders, Millard ran away after he was pulled from the badly damaged SUV. He was found several hours later at a nearby home where he stopped for help.

Millard could now face up to six years in prison.

Assistant Public Defender Robert Cronin says he and the district attorney will be working on a plea deal. Cronin says Millard will likely plead guilty to the two counts of vehicular homicide at a hearing on September 2nd.
