DANVILLE, MONTOUR COUNTY - After 21 hours on the air, more than $2 million dollars was raised this weekend to support the Janet Weis Children's Hospital near Danville.

The 2010 Children's Miracle Celebration kicked off Saturday afternoon at 9:00 PM and continued until 6:00 PM on Sunday.

Generous callers from across the region and other states called in pledges to help sick children. Some of the children have rare diseases. Others have been involved in car accidents. They all rely on the doctors, nurses and staff at Janet Weis Children's Hospital.

The grand total for the 2010 celebration was $2,379,874. WYOU-TV teamed up with TV partners in Altoona (WTAJ) and Binghamton (WBNG) to reach that total.

Thank you to everyone who called in to donate and make miracles happen. The staff of Janet Weis Children's Hospital now reminds you to follow-through on your pledge.
