PIKE COUNTY- State police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found Saturday morning at Promised Land State Park.

Troopers say the body of 56-year-old Bogdan Banaszek of Brooklyn was found just after 8:00 A. M. in the park's upper lake.

The victim's body was found by a person walking near the lake. Investigators say Banaszek was last seen Thursday.

A canoe was found just about a half-mile from his body. The coroner does not think the death is suspicious in Pike County.
