CLIFTON TWP., LACKAWANNA COUNTY- One driver is dead and another injured after a fiery overnight crash. It happened around 12:30 this morning along Route 435. State Police say a Jeep Cherokee slammed into the driver's side of a pickup truck that pulled into traffic from a parking lot. Both vehicles caught fire. The driver of the pickup was killed. Troopers are withholding a name until notifying the victim's family. The other driver, 33-year-old Lenonardo Graci of Mt. Pocono, was admitted to a local hospital after the deadly Lackawanna County crash.

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- A serious accident has traffic tied up along Route 315 at the intersection of the Cross Valley Expressway. It happened just after 8:30 this morning. A woman driving an SUV broad-sided a man driving a car just at the end of the Exit 1 ramp from southbound Route 309. The woman was able to get out of the SUV under her own power and was taken from the scene by police. The injured man was taken away in an ambulance. All traffic is being diverted onto the Cross Valley Expressway as police reconstruct the accident.

CLIFFORD TWP., SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY- An icy bridge near Forest City is to blame for a couple of crashes within 10 minutes of each other. Both happened around 8:30 this morning along Route 171. First a pickup truck with two people lost control and slid into a ditch. No injuries were reported. Then an SUV lost control and rolled over with one person taken away for treatment. PennDOT was called to salt and cinder the bridge deck. State Police at Gibson are investigating the Susquehanna County crashes.
