Gusty winds overnight have caused some problems around the area including downed trees and power outages. In the Poconos, both East Stroudsburg High School North and Lehman Intermediate are closed today due to a power outage. All other schools in the district are open.

PPL reports that nearly 10,000 people were without power early this morning in our area, but many of them have been restored.

In Central PA, two people were slightly injured just before midnight when a tree fell on their car in Lock Haven.

In Lycoming County, emergency dispatchers took more than a dozen calls of trees and power lines down, including a tree that fell onto a structure in Jersey Shore.

And in Luzerne County's Back Mountain a tree came down on Route 309 near Kunkle Road blocking one lane of traffic.

SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- An armed robbery in Scranton early Monday morning has police now looking for four men.

Two men were robbed along the 1500 block of Mulberry Street around 12:30 A. M. The victims say the robbers were armed with a weapon, but they didn't know what the weapon was.

Initial reports claimed it could have been a shotgun. The men in question are all wearing black hooded sweatshirts. No more details are known at this time.

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- A man was sent to the hospital after being shot late Sunday night in Wilkes-Barre.

The shooting happened just before midnight in the area of Sullivan and South Franklin Streets. The victim was shot in the leg and hand.

He was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley with non life threatening injuries.

The victim is not cooperating with police on the details of the shooting. Eyewitnesses report seeing two men wearing dark clothing running from the scene.
