STROUDSBURG, MONROE COUNTY -- A Monroe County man has been sentenced for killing a man.

Anthony Mitchell of East Stroudsburg will spend 15 to 40 years in prison. He pleaded guilty to third degree murder Wednesday morning just as hit trial was set to begin.

Mitchell was charged in the shooting death of 21-year old Casheem Gaines. It happened in the parking lot outside Studio West dance club in East Stroudsburg in September of 2008.

Witnesses told police Mitchell shot Gaines when he tried to break up an argument between Mitchell and another man.
