ROSS TOWNSHIP, MONROE COUNTY -- A Monroe County home was destroyed by flames Monday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to a fire in a remote section of Ross Township just before 2:00 P. M.

The owner said he was mowing his lawn when he noticed the flames and got his pregnant wife out of their burning home.

She was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The home is a total loss.
