LOYALSOCK TWP., LYCOMING COUNTY -- A Lycoming County school district is mourning the death of a teenager. 15-year-old Montoursville Area student Cordell Page died Saturday night from injuries suffered in a crash.

It happened last Monday in Loyalsock Township on Warrensville Road. Page was the passenger in a car driven by his 16-year-old brother, William. The teen lost control of the car, smashed into an oncoming state police cruiser and burst into flames.

The page brothers were taken to Geisinger Danville. That's where Cordell died Saturday night and his brother remains in critical condition. The trooper was treated and released.

Cordell Page was a freshman at Montoursville Area High School. He and his brother were both members of the high school wrestling team.

Grief counseling has been available for students since the accident -- and will continue Monday.
