WILKES-BARRE TWP., LUZERNE COUNTY -- Mother's Day was also graduation day for Marywood University. The school held its 92nd Commencement Exercises at Mohegan Sun Arena in Luzerne County.
Marywood's class of 2010 consists of 863 graduates from 21 different states and 8 countries.
One of the grads, a Wyoming Boroughs Danielle Nulton, says earning her Business Retail Management degree is a great sense of accomplishment. She says she and her fellow grads know the tough economy will test them. "I think everybody's a little worried about it. No one really has jobs before they leave college but none of us are letting that bring us down. We're all excited and very ambitious," she says.
Entrepreneur William Strickland served as keynote speaker. He's President and CEO of Manchester Bidwell Corporation in Pittsburgh which offers arts and career training. | | |
