LUZERNE COUNTY -- Today is the day we celebrate our moms and do our best to thank them for everything they've done. We caught up with several people doing some Mother's Day shopping.
To Betty Andiario, Mother's Day means remembering loved ones lost.
"These flowers are going to my husband's family - his grandmother, his mother, and his step-mother up at St. Mary's cemetery in Hanover Township," said Andiario, who put flowers at her mother's grave Saturday. She's also celebrating being a mom.
"For Mother's Day, my children are taking me to Newberry Estates for brunch in Dallas," Andiario added. "Eleven of us are going."
To Scott Campbell, Mother's Day is another day of work at The Flower Warehouse.
"Sales have been terrific," said Campbell, owner. "There are certain things you can't skimp on, and one of them is mom."
To Matthew and Patrick Nelson, Mother's Day means appreciating Mom and Grandma for the little things.
"They do lots of fun stuff for us," said Patrick.
"She cleans our room," added Matthew, of his mom.
And for all the moms who were shopping alongside Andiario and the Nelsons, Wegmans was giving out a free flower for every mother who stepped inside.
