OVERFIELD TWP., WYOMING COUNTY- Emergency responders feared the worst after being called to a motorcycle and a school bus collision Thursday morning.
The motorcycle ended up getting crushed beneath a Tunkhannock Area school bus. The bus was empty and the driver was headed out to pick up students when a motorcyclist lost control on Route 307 in Overfield Township.
The motorcyclist veered into the path of the bus then made a life or death decision. Bus driver Art Carpenter said, "When he saw the bus he just kicked the bike off in front of me, in front of the bus, and he rolled the other way and thank god or he would've been under the bus.”
The motorcyclist was walking around after the crash and went to the hospital to get checked out. State Police at Tunkhannock did not release his name.
No word if he'll face any charges.
