SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY

Movie makers were in Scranton Friday morning, searching through an old factory building that will soon become one of the sets for a new feature film.

Director William Wedig hopes to begin production in early February for "Forged", an action-drama that will be shot at locations throughout the city. The story line revolves around a long separated father and son who are trying to reunite.

The old Scranton Lace Factory is one of the locations. The huge building closed in 2002. It's large empty rooms and long hallways will be used for some of the action shots.

Wedig says 'Forged" is an independent production being made for Revere Films. He is hoping it wil be ready for release in about 18 months.

A Casting call will be conducted Saturday and Sunday at the Holiday Inn in Dunmore for local people interested in trying out for a roll in the movie.
