WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY- Emergency crews were called to the scene of a multi-car crash on the Cross Valley Expressway.

It happened shortly after 6:30 this morning on Route 309 southbound near Exit 2. 4 cars were involved and 2 people were taken to the hospital. Traffic was backed up during the morning commute.

State police are now investigating the cause of the crash.
