POTTSVILLE, SCHUYLKILL COUNTY- Police in Pottsville are investigating a murder suicide.

It started in a parking lot near the Waymart Food Store on West Market Street.

Police said Frank Manganiello, Schuylkill Haven, shot his girlfriend Sandra Pucci just after noon.

He then took off to the First United Methodist Church on West Market Street and shot and killed himself inside at the altar.

People were in the basement of the church at the time. They were evacuated.

Pucci was was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown where she later died.

Manganiello was free on bail after threatening to kill Pucci several weeks ago.

Pucci recently placed a protection from abuse order against Manganiello.
