MONTROSE, SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY- A high profile murder suspect from 31-years ago was back in court Monday in Susquehanna County.

Doctor Stephen Scher was convicted in 1997 of killing his friend Martin Dillon during a hunting trip back in 1976.

That conviction was later overturned by the State Superior Court, which ruled that he will have to face trial again.

Scher was in court Monday for a pre-trial conference on his new trial.

He was denied a change of venue, and a trial date has been set for March third.

The judge also granted Scher's attorney $20,000 to retain expert witnesses to testify in his defense.
