MILFORD TWP., PIKE COUNTY -- One day after a man drowned in the Susquehanna River in Central Pennsylvania, a New Jersey man drowned in the Delaware River.

It happened at Milford Beach in Pike County Monday afternoon. The National Parks Service says a 31-year-old man went for a swim in the Delaware River. He went under water and never resurfaced.

Emergency crews pulled his body from 14 feet of water several hours later. The coroner's office has not released the swimmer's identity, but we do know that he was from New Jersey.
