SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY- Police in Scranton say a robbery suspect was chased and captured by a neighbor who heard cries for help from a local convenient store.
According to police reports, 24-year-old Andrew Morse of Scranton struck a customer and slammed a cash register onto the hands of a female employee before running out of the store on Prescott and Ash streets with just over $100 in cash.
Officers say that neighbor Joe Leggat heard the cries for help and saw Morse running from the store. Police say Leggat gave chase and caught Morse in a nearby alley.
Morse faces charges of robbery, theft, receiving stolen property and simple assault.
