Danville, Montour County-

A new baby helped ring in the New Year for one family from Bloomsburg.

Edward and Megan Gusick welcomed little Brecken Anthony into the world just before 6:00 Friday morning.

He was the first baby born at Geisinger Medical Center in 2010.

Brecken weighed in at a healthy seven pounds, eleven ounces. He's 22 inches long.

Mom Megan said, "He was actually due December 24th, so he was over seven days late. So it's great to be done with the pregnancy and have him here finally."

Dad Edward noted, "It's been great. It's probably been one of the most eye-opening, wowing experiences I think I've ever had in my life."

Little Brecken came out with a full head of hair.

Coincidentally, mom and dad are both employees at Geisinger.
