New Hospital Affiliation Announced in Carbon Co. - Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 4:04PM EST
LEHIGHTON, CARBON COUNTY- A new hospital affiliation could change the face of health care in Carbon County.
A special 5-year affiliation between the Blue Mountain Health System and the Lehigh Valley Health System in Allentown was announced Tuesday.
Officials say it will take health care to a new level. The two systems already work together in advance cardiac and stroke care. Now they hope to expand their service and cut costs.
Burn care and pharmacy services could be the next combined programs between the two systems. | | |
